It costs way more than $5k to birth and raise a child. This is only going to be incentive for the exceptionally poor and extremely stupid, which is likely to be the point because those people and their children are what continues to feed our exploitation model.

Being anywhere in Trump's orbit speeds up your trajectory towards death like Matt Damon in Saving Private Ryan. Donald Trump is, essentially, a biological version of "The Machine" from The Princess Bride pushed to 50.

Since the pope was only secondarily contaminated, the process was slower, but he was already so close to death as it is.

Saw a couple of these at an event I went to years ago. The people who tried it were saying that it's an exhausting arm, leg, and core workout after just a few minutes.

They aren't disruptive yet. I assume the plan is to start without disruption as a way to amass numbers, gain support, and show how widespread the opposition is. As time goes on, the protests will move away from the weekends, which will automatically make them more disruptive.

I think when the actual disruption starts is when the likelihood of push back, and them no longer being peaceful, increases. And, as you said above, peaceful is good.

Not to mention the drastic drop in tourism. There's so much more room for activities now!

In a way, it's good that the protests aren't getting a whole lot of coverage. That means that they are peaceful enough that they're boring. That's what we want: PEACEFUL disruption.

Pretty sure the protests will start getting more attention when the administration starts firing tear gas and rubber bullets into the crowds when their bad-actor plants start causing issues.

I think you and u/deur are talking about 2 different levels of control, similar to the difference between weather and climate.

I control when I get up in the morning, I control what job I sell out or stay at, etc., etc. But I have no control over the wildfire/tornado/hurricane/flood/landslide that takes out my house. I don't have control over the mass shooter/suicide bomber/terrorist attack that takes me out. I don't have control over a government insistent on destroying foreign relations and weakening the spending power of my dollar.

Individuals have control on a micro scale. The larger the scale gets, the less control one has. The only real control we have is how we react to the world around us.

I discovered, through various tests and play sessions, that a strong enough fan will cause the world to jitter a bit, and similarly affect the controller tracking.

In my Pico4 and Quest 2 headsets, if I was facing a fan the tracking would get jittery all around. It didn't matter where the fan was in the room (so not a lighting thing), or which fan it is, only that it was blowing hard enough in the tracked area. Playing directly under a ceiling fan on high can do the same thing.

Wondering if it's just me, if anyone else has noticed something similar, or if someone is willing to test the theory on their own in some "backyard science".

I would have to think that state schools get federal funding, and federal funding is about to disappear. As a casual fan of college football, it got me wondering what the downstream effects are going to be.

Hours spent trying to get someone to buy a car they have no intention of buying are hours NOT spent making sales commissions.

Subtle but understandable?

The only good nazi is a dead nazi. What games are the best for taking them out?

India Jones and the Great Circle was a good start, and I'm considering Sniper Elite VR for the highly detailed nazi carnage. Wondering what other nazi-killing favorites are out there.

EDIT: According to this, the dude in the meme is not the actual shooter. I haven't seen any legit sources one way or another. It's just a meme, please leave this guy alone.

Or get him in touch with Hawk T'ua Girl. Either way, he deserves it.

I'm not familiar with how they work or what kinds of data they track and return. Would they be useful to track things like plant feeder changes, cpap cleaning schedules, ant farm maintenance...

Can you think useful alternative applications and life hacks for these apps?

edit: I know that there are alternative scheduling apps for virtually any need. That's not the point. I like finding new and useful ways to use existing things.
