Never 4get.

I didn't do this. I voted for the less evil of the parties, I advocate for the handicapped and disabled, I support LGBTQ+ rights, I give resources to those who can't afford healthcare or houses. I did what I fucking could.

This is like blaming the individual for pollution. Who's contributing the most to pollution?

It sucks. It sucks so fucking hard. But we need to keep going and not cease our efforts in the face of despair.

I'm doing what I can. That's what I can do, and that's what I will do.

This is unfortunately why I don't think the fediverse will thrive: the majority of folks on here are so privacy-focused, that many of them refuse to tell personal stories or antecedents.

It's extremely unfortunate.

My kid and I watched it when it first released.

He barely remembers it, except Rainbow Road and "Mario characters". And he loves Nintendo stuff.

It wasn't "slop", but it was not very memorable. The worst thing a film can be is forgettable.

Right?? I was spooked throughout the entire experience. Kept expecting something horrific to get me the whole time! Lol

So glad I finished it, though.

If I may.. I'd actually put this game at the top of my list for one of the best games of all time.

Is the game itself a masterpiece? No. Not necessarily. I feel it's very flawed in many ways. And I've seen many people shit on it for "squandering its potential", which I believe is nonsense.

However.. I'm not sure most people understand, but if you go into it as a sufferer of PTSD.... it becomes 1000 times more powerful.

I didn't put the puzzle pieces together until recently, actually.... but around the same time I finished the game.. my nightmares stopped. Gone. I still get "bad dreams" from time to time, but no absolutely horrific nightmares like I used to.

DON'T GET ME WRONG, I AM PROBABLY A RARE CASE, AND I'M NOT SAYING THAT THIS GAME WILL """"CURE"""" ANYTHING OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!! All I'm saying is that, for me, it made things..... easier.

I love Superliminal. Think I always will. I'd strongly suggest that others play it, as well.

Lemmy is not an indicator of intelligence, nor would I use it as a benchmark.

But it's a good start to better options.

There is no line for me.

I'm incredibly fragile and seeing people ~~I care about~~ be hurt by all this hurts me incredibly much.

I'm now avoiding the news and doing my best to instead be a positive influence, help where I am able, offer support, donate what I can, etc.

I refuse to let evil fucking idiots steal my joy.

I head up a small community for fans of a niche indie brand. The founder is doing an event in Japan with an exclusive item for people who attend! I was so excited and was looking into booking a plane ticket to go!

However.. turns out that Japan has a law that absolutely forbids stimulant medication in the country. And, no, I don't really want to upend my regimen of 8 years and risk going on a new medication for the trip.

I'm really shattered, as I wanted to attend this cool event and meet up with other enthusiasts. It really hurts to be barred from an opportunity like this.

I hate ADHD. I really do.

My recommendation is a small thing: a trashcan with a swinging lid!

Covers the trash, reduces smells, will prevent trash tetris (sometimes), and very good instead of foot-pedal opening trash cans or trash cans put in a cupboard.

Another thing are toothbrush holders that stick to mirrors. Might jog that memory of needing to brush your teeth!

Wall-mounted keyholder by your door, too. Anything I put on a flat surface will eventually be lost or covered with more junk & papers. My keys are WALL-ONLY!!!

What item(s) have helped you with your struggles?
