The fact that it says "Paid for by the Government of Canada" will allow them to shrug it off as propaganda and go "Why would Canada care so much if this was true!?". I like the idea, but I fear it might have an even more polarizing effect...

Speaking as a software dev, that’s probably not the case. They probably started completely from scratch and so the inclusion of features depends on reimplementing them on the new platform. It could be as simple as not being ready yet or maybe stats show them that so few people use the feature that they don’t find it worth reimplementing it.

The real litmus test will be Q2 and maybe Q3 numbers. My country (Norway) probably has one of the highest number of Teslas per capita in the world, and I feel like a lot of people here are just sitting around waiting for the refreshed Model Y to be fully released.

These people have no idea what constitutes a good user interface. Just because they’ve taught themselves how to use the one from 1998, does not mean that grandma of 78 would find it as intuitive. Applications like this have to accommodate so many different types of people and somehow the neckbeards seem to forget that. Can’t imagine why.

I don’t disagree, but that’s not what most people care about.

Pretty sure it’s to enable extensions written in JS. These apps build their success on a rich ecosystem of plugins. And, like it or not, JS plays a big part in that.

Oh yeah for sure, the situation in the US is something I dread. The fact that the cost of living in the US is near the equal to ours is mind-blowing to me when I read about their average wage level.

I think it's interesting to see the US cost of living catching up to that of my country (Norway). I've always looked at US prices and envied them, but now I'm just like "Whey! That's a normal price!". Based on what I'm reading I'm guessing wages aren't keeping up in the same manner though...

A quick Google search seems to indicate that Pfizer's TicoVac is indeed available in the US. I would wager this is the same one that they're using in Austria. At least it's this one they offer in my home country (also European).

TBE vaccine (TicoVac) is the only one I'm aware of, but I guess the necessity would depend on whether or not ticks in your area are known to carry TBE.
