To be fair it's not like the dev himself is tracking you guys, it's just how Google ads works. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Yeah man...I am a dev myself but $20 to remove ads is just too much, especially without regional pricing.

Your best bet is to use the Voyager app

Firefox's PWA is really bad, so I am just using brave for it. You can actually disable all "extra" features from Brave.
