Sure, there are dangers driving a damn car. There's danger walking out of your front door. Getting into the shower. Doing ANYTHING in this life with our frail-ass human bodies. I'm not going to escalate that by going up into the goddamn sky on board an old-ass fucking airplane depending on half-assed maintenance and poorly done code. If my car fails, it's on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. If I get hit by someone, or I hit someone, at least I can survive and that is significantly improved with the quality of my driving. If the plane fails, I'm fucking dead, end of fucking story.

I use GOG to get away from downloading things in the context of a store and have a nice little archive of installers to use whenever I want it. I am trying to get as many Steam games to just be that way so when I run the binary it just works without Steam being involved at all. Laughably few will do it on their own but there are some ways around others...

We forget that back in 2016 Reddit allowed a huge subreddit full of upvoting bots and trolls to post the most atrocious lies and slander and bullshit (/r/the_d**ald) on the entire site and it got so bad that it was the ONLY SUBREDDIT ON THE FIRST PAGE OF /r/all FOR AT LEAST A WEEK.
They pulled back when they saw their profits declining and the massive backlash going on but now that we're in full fascism mode, reddit is going all out again.

The fact that Trump is in office illegally (he's a convicted felon, remember) and he and Musk are doing highly illegal, unconstitutional things means you have the duty to gather up an armed force, march into the White House, and forcefully eject Trump, Musk, Vance, and any other MAGA moron, and put the actual victor of the 2024 election after you throw away all of the invalid votes for Trump in Trump's place (Harris).
