So I set up my system with btrfs in the last days and I converted two external drives (from ext4) (mainly game) and run defrag and balance, because it was mentioned in a guide to compress the existing files. Was that a bad idea? Didn't read anything about duplicates.

Do you have MangoHud installed? Last week I couldn't run any proton game on my system until I uninstalled it/ removed the MANGOHUD=1 variable haven't had this problem before, but something broke. Proton and wine were stuck at launching, no error messages/ logs, etc. drove me nuts.

My Sony noise cancelling headphones (XM3). I love them and use them every single day. And also my wall mounted pull-up bar.

Isn't that before taxes? Or does this work differently in Canada?

Pretty much this. And they are still too expensive.

On the weekend I was playing Cross Code but I put that aside for my vacation.
I don't have much time after work at the moment, so I found a really strange game called Sally can't sleep. Digging the atmosphere. Gameplay is a bit wonky and frustrating but I love just to roam around. But I can imagine that it's too strange for most people.

Some games I recommend:

Alina of the Arena: A roguelike deckbuilder game. It has turn based tactical battles. There are lots of cards and builds you can try, but there is a fair amount of randomness to it. So you have to go with what you get.

Unreal Life: A really strange, surreal adventure game with a talking traffic light. Great visuals and music.

YumeCore: Just a short little game where you beat up people in a hospital. Why? Why not?

Flood of Light: Great little game with pretty much one core mechanic (direct lights). The Engliah translation isn't the best, but I really liked the atmosphere.

Brotato: Is it a hidden gem? I don't really know, but it is a fun "Vampire Survivor"-like game and a huge time sink. Great shop mechanic and large amoint of characters and items.

  1. Kingdom Hearts: I played the first for some time and watched some videos of the series, but I don't get the appeal. The character design is strange, the story does not hit me on an emotional level and the Disney characters... Just no.

  2. Final Fantasy: Played 7 and X and just like Kingdom Hearts, it just did not hit me on any level. It is strange, because I love JRPGs like the Legend of Heroes series.

I don't like always online games.
Some years ago a friend asked me to play Diablo 3 together, so I bought it and tried it in singleplayer to get familiar with it, since that was the first time playing a Diablo game.
I got very hard lag - in a singleplayer session and lost the connection to the server several times.
It was such an awful experience that I couldn't bring myself to play it online anymore.
