What values? Greed?
Dow Jones.
Rule of Acquisition #17: A contract is a contract is a contract... but only between Ferengi.
The answer is: they do not give a shit.
They do not care about the US as a country.
They do not care about the Americans as a people.
They do not care about the economy.
They do not care about anything apart from their own personal interest. Lining their own pockets is all they care about. If someone helps them do that, they are friends with them. If they don't, they do not matter.
Congratulations, you now officially live in a cleptocracy where they shake you down, take all of your money and give it to the guys who already have billions. All the taxes they claim to save by obliterating social security, affordable care etc? They are not going back to you, they will stuff them in Musk's pockets through bullshit contracts and other schemes.
And at the same time, they are critically crippling the IRS to make sure the billionairs no longer even have to pretend to pay taxes.
How can he tell if women are vaccinated before he rapes them?
When he's done, that bill will be as worthless as he is.
Next up: marriages between people with different skin colours.
Did you know you can just build a guillotine?
I can just see it now, captain James Tiberius Kirk slowly driving a mobility scooter through Ferengi Nar's biggest shopping mall, with soft royalty-free muzac playing in the background while Ferengi shopping clerks watch with a look of bemusement on their faces, while their supervisor watches them with a look of pure hot white anger on his face before shouting at them at the top of his lungs to move their lazy asses. Record scratch, heart attack, no Ferengi medical insurance and no latinum - Captain Kirk dies, the end.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine had a great way of exposing that attitude through the Ferengi. Quark, the proprietor of Quark's Bar, mistreats his employees again, and they are pissed. Station chief Miles O'brian tries to rally them to form a union of bar workers and to strike, and one of them, Rom, actually says:
Ferengi workers don't want to stop the exploitation. We want to find a way to become the exploiters.
The lie of the "american dream" - don't rally against rich people, for you might once become one of them^[your chance might be less than one in a trillion].
Bit late for that. I think at this point what you need is a revolution.
Pale Shelter - Tears for Fears has been living rent free in my head for a couple of days now. This happens every time I hear it.
