Was it still wet or raining at FP3? These are some impressive results by Williams.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is one that instantly comes to mind. It surprisingly still has a very active competitive playerbase, mostly comprised of slavs that have been playing it since they could read words on a computer screen. Another one that I've personally can't stop playing, is the first Warhammer 40K:Dawn of War game with it's expansions and mods. It's just so good, and I wish a modern version with a modern engine could be made. I don't trust Relic to do that tho.

Other than that, there's a myriad of old console and arcade games that are still excellent. Super Metroid, SEGA Rally, shmups like Dodonpachi and Mushihimesama, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike... there are really way too many to count.

I wish this would happen on the Nintendo eShop on the Switch, I swear 70% of the games in there are crappy mobile port asset flips with a price tag on.

I have been able to follow all racing events I wanted for the past couple years through a few trusted restreamers that I found, sadly now, via Reddit on r/motorsportsstreams. They don't have a community in the Fediverse yet (some of them opting for very badly managed and unmoderated Discord servers) but I hope that they do, soon. Their streams are very good and often better quality than official sources.

Oh wow I completely missed the Sprint Shootout then. How early was it, like half an hour before the race? I'm not even sure it was broadcast here.

You WANT to cause a gang war, right?

I play Assetto Corsa. I have downloaded 300GB worth of cars, and I'll do it again.

I mean, we all know where this fine dark elf lady is from, right. Right?

Thanks for the comprehensive response. I have a sizeable friends group in a Discord server, and we've discussed having alternatives to that if Discord goes to shit. Good to know that matrix can at least be a competent partial replacement (for the text, if not the voice) to Discord. We tried Guilded a while back but didn't stick to it for over a week. Some of our guys still advocate for TeamSpeak, whenever the new version finally comes out.

So, how would one go around finding "servers" or "communities" in Matrix? Is it like, themed chatrooms? Does it support media embeds like Discord? I really don't know anything about Matrix lmao.

This is sad. They had a good game going there, and you can tell the devs had their heart in the right place. They had serious struggles with cheating early on in their game, which impacted growth and retention of players, but they dealt with it so well they should become industry standard in how to curb cheaters. Unfortunately it wasn't enough. Maybe the game would have been better if it was pay to play instead of free.

Meanwhile, Tarkov is still going, milking their cheaters for revenue, after half-assedly banning them and letting them buy new accounts again...

This isn't even close to being a boomer shooter, wtf. Anyway this game is extremely well made, intentionally low poly designs but high quality in the action and the fun. It scratches the itch that many dissatisfied Battlefield fans were craving, and it does a good job at that.
