I added a folk metal ballad, and almost half of the recommendations were the complete opposite (fast songs with growls), no matter what options I selected.

Anyway, I liked it. It might need some refinement and may not work for creating a playlist (at least for me), but it helped me discover some tracks that are exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

I have my search and watch history off and I watch recipes and music videos. The right panel with recommendations is always filled with right-wing videos. Even if opened in an incognito tab.

It's not the algorithm... It's how YouTube have been prepared on purpose.

Don't you want to read hundreds of comments with "Who's listening this in [insert year here]?" or how that song was the favourite of a dead relative? Lame.

No, seriously. Those are 90% of the comments I read in music videos on YouTube. Another 5% are the lyrics pasted continuously.

The good: I like helping without expecting anything in return. If someone I care about is happy, I will be happy.

The bad: A white lie, even if it was told to don't hurt my feelings, I will label it as a lie and I will lose all trust in you.

The ugly: If you do or say something that reminds me of my best friend (who committed suicide 25 years ago), without providing any explanation, I will be in a quite angry mode towards anyone until I have been able to sort out my thoughts, and that could last for weeks.

I don't usually watch videos because when I use Lemmy I'm in my phone and listening to the music.

I don't want my music to stop so I can watch a video of 10 minutes with a list of Patreons, a paid sponsor, links to other videos of the channel and an actual minute with worthy information.

Button Press Graphics, a new channel with Inkscape tutorials (lemmy.world)
 

I'm suscribed to some digital art channels (for Inkscape "Logos by Nick" is my favourite), and some days ago the YouTube algorithm did its job and reccommended me "Button Press Graphics", and I'm enjoying every video even if I already know what he is explaining. It has a few videos ans subscribers, but I think (and wish) it will become bigger.

[Bug] Collapsed comments open after scrolling (lemmy.world)
 

When I collapse a comment and its replies, scroll down but then scroll up, all the comments I collapsed are open again. So I have to scroll up all the replies again. I don't remember this to happen with the previous updates.

Has anyone been to the "Ayreon Universe" and/or "Electric Castle Live" concerts? In just over a month, I'll be going to see "Live Beneath The Waves" in Tilburg, and with each passing day, I'm getting more nervous and excited. Apart from the music's quality, in the videos, you can see that everyone is having an unforgettable time and enjoying everything.
