I was thinking almost the same but in addition I'd add the whole Cold War, because from the URSS, the KGB used to do analog things but IMO with less effectiveness and judged more harshly, maybe because the International agreement were naive and powerless against the USA.

I was about to comment the same.

Oh boy, I've cried a lot for Guido from La vita è bella, Setsuko+Seita from Hotaru no Haka, Chrono from Chrono Trigger, Ace from One Piece and after a time I just started thinking and talking with some friends or my sister about those movies/game/series.

Saint Seya, Kamisama Hajimemashita, InuYasha and Natsume Yuujinchou series came first to my mind

Right, but we're talking about the popularity of text messages in the USA. And usually we don't call average Joe to someone out of the States ;)

The average Joe uses apple and thus their per-installed apps, Joe has a wrong idea about privacy friendly or secure protocols that apps like signal or matrix have. In a near future, Joe will communicate his friends between different meta apps using the signal protocol and still will consider signal a bad choice just because its marketing is weak compared to meta in the app store. The funny thing is that I've back to use whatsapp because most of my fellow US citizens use meta instead of signal or matrix or the fediverse ¯(°_o)/¯

Yes, most of people say condensador but I between engineers/technicians in Hispanic America we use both terms depending on the system (condensador for high voltage and capacitor for low voltage).
