I always use “book” as an insult. Especially since my phone autocorrect was updated…

Does it come with a subwoofer and doubles as a coffee maker? In that case no…

The useless/useful dichotomy is kinda misguided because that judgement will almost always depend on cost and we don’t have a good understanding of actual costs of running these models. I have copilot enabled in my IDE, and it saves me from a few searches here and there and autocompletes stuff that would have taken me some time to type. So not exactly useless, but right now it’s being payed for by VC’s who expect a return on their investment, so what does that look like? Before we know, it’s hard to say whether these things are relevant

Once again “the earth” is supposedly synonymous with “that one country in North America”…

What I learned from this is never let a physics major cook you dinner, unless you want charcoal for chicken (200C !?!)

There’s a common misconception among boomers and gen x that “digital natives” like gen z have a god-given tech proficiency. However, there’s nothing about being born with a smartphone in your hand that teaches you anything about tech.

It’s not like people are getting better at changing oil as car ownership becomes more common, right?

I recently got a MacBook Air M2 that i generally use with bluetooth connected keyboard (keychron k9p) and mouse (Mx master). However, if I connect a Bluetooth headset (tried both AirPods and one from Jabra) the sound is cutting in and out. If I disconnect mouse or keyboard all is fine. Is this a known limitation of the MacBook?

I find it kinda strange that they remove ports left and right and then do not make sure to enable alternative means of connecting peripherals. Are there other workarounds than getting a docking station or hub?
