That 1:1 conversion through the same codec is very likely lossy. However that's not a straight file copy which is what you originally said causes degradation.

That's YouTube's processed video not the original.
I think the newer immutable distros will become the more mainstream option.
In practice it behaves more like a phone where you use sandboxed apps and the base system cannot be modded.
However on immutable distros you can make changes to the system but only with a specific method. This is how the Steam Deck is setup and I can see it working very well for the average user.
What's funny is that Brave Shields appear to be a fancy UI around uBlock. The element picker UI isn't drastically changed.
The wallet was for a whole just Metamask (it is now it's own implementation which is nice).
Gnome and KDE both have browsers, they're just rarely the defaults.
Gnome Web is decent, but it tiles heavy like iPhoje Safari while still being very slow. It does support Firefox sync which is pretty cool.
I haven't tried the KDE browser in a long time so I can't speak for it.
Even though I knew already, had I not I would have appreciated the above comment. It would save me the time of seeking out the source and finding out it's status.
Especially since this community is named FOSS and not Libre Software.
I know that may sound pedantic, but consider the difference in getting recommended something like Obsidian in a note taking community for example.
2nd logseq. It's extremely versatile. For example, I generate my graph to a static website and publish it. However it only includes pages I mark public.
I like that you don't have to think so much about organization when you are writing the note if you tag things heavily. You can always refine it later into a dedicated page.
It's like it encapsulates the conjuring state prior to building a personal wiki.
This happens with Mastodon too. But each wave more people stick around.
I've found great content in here and it has the good vibes of early reddit I miss so much.
I really only use reddit for search engine results now.
There are also a number of compatibility issues on Windows itself thanks to the mess of DirectX workarounds they need to add to the drivers with each new game.
Wow I am so surprised by this. I watch mainly tech and gardening YouTube and my shorts have been extremely applicable to me.
Even when I use a new computer like at work the shorts are mostly pop culture.
Didn't make shorts any less annoying though
And you can play all of your historical games, and emulate every console since the dawn of time.
I jumped in to point out the flaw in the YouTube experiment you're referring to.
