More nonsense for my ur dragon deck. It is likely not good especially since you generally will be skipping playing a creature to play it while also putting a giant target on your head. But I'll be playing it anyway.

From my limited understanding deleting something on a hard drive is just letting your computer know that that space is now available for other data to be stored there. Until something is actually stored there the data isn't changed.

You can't use this to increase storage in a computer because the total amount of data allowed on a hard drive doesn't change when data is deleted. It just moves that stored data to the available section.

It's a fun game. Brings me back to playing total annihilation as a kid. Chaos everywhere.

Some general advice for people getting into the game to get started.

There are three blocks of time in the game, drizzle, clearance, and storm. Different things happen in all of them but the most important for beginners is the storm. During the storm most of the negative features of the map are active and have to be handled otherwise you will lose people.

To handle the storm well you have to handle your hostility (red bar in the middle top of the screen). Hostility goes up over time and is also increased per woodcutter as well as each glade that has been cut into.

To reduce hostility you can sacrifice wood/coal at the hearth or you can reduce the number of woodcutters you have. Alternatively you can try to get everyone's resolve high enough that they can weather the storm without issues.

Resolve is basically how happy everyone is. The most basic increases are through houses. You should make sure that everyone has at least a basic house. The housing bonus goes up further with specialized houses. Having particular food cooked as needs met (like beer, or brawling) also increase it. Lizards and harpies start with very low resolve which can be tough to handle as a new player.

But the low initial resolve also has a benefit. They have a very low threshold to start earning you points. Every race has a blue line on the abr next to their picture in the top left. If their resolve hits that you start passively earning points which can be helpful if you just need a bit more to unlock another blueprint.

Tips to start: Don't cut into to many small glades. Each one increases hostility by 10 and it adds up quick. The larger glades will give you much more resources and their events when handled properly can be very rewarding.

Use the trading post. Cutting into a large glade when you know a trader will arrive soon helps make the process safer since you can trade for any materials you might need to do the event. Doing trade routes to earn amber is a great way to get the money you need to buy everything.

Time when you will cut into glades properly. I prefer to cut into a large glade right after the storm phase has ended. That way I have all of the drizzle and clearance to deal with any issues I have. A lot of events reduce resolve while you work on them so doing them during the storm is not good.

Another common mistake is cutting into to many small glades. Each glade you cut into increases the hostility permanently. The resources gained from the dangerous glades (skull over it) are much higher.

Hostility also goes up for every wood cutter you have so early on in the storm you can often get away with temporarily removing a few woodcutters to reduce hostility and keep everyone happy during the storm.
