Not ground breaking just an accounting of the erosion of basic human rights specifically of the female nature. Soon women will be restricted from voting, owning property, and only allowed outside while in the company of a suitable male.

I like my mail service. They did take the mailbox on the block during Trumps first term though, but people complained and we got it back.

It is simpler than all that. Elite parents send their children to elite schools and universities. Their children then learn how the world works and are equipped with the skills to engage with the people running things.

The lower classes do not value education in this fashion. Their children do not have parents at home who understand how the world works or how our society is organized. Even if those children are smart or gifted they have no idea how to learn the skills they need or how to properly use their gifted abilities.

The perjury he was doing while testifying to Congress was also enough in my book as well as his beer outburst trying to respond to Klobuchar.

In principle yeah, but we are currently speed running the dystopian surveillance state so much early sci-fi warned us about.

We got one. We are just watching one party testing the limits of the social contract that keeps this place going. I'm talking about how long people will abide their federal courts and Congress being shat upon.

I'll take your word for it and now expect an epic ending.

I'm not talking about the people going underground part or them not knowing why they are there, but the parts were lots of things are hinted at or plot bits dangled and then it just turns out there aren't any answers.

This is just the continued pushing of the tax burden onto the middle class. Which really got started good under Reagan. I think this is just the result of the uneducated GOP supporters winning this election. Now it is just a constant flood of them having no idea how government functions while ruining stuff for the rest of society,

They could, but building other trading partners in a generally capitalist economy might take a bit of helping. By making American goods more expensive to import maybe Canadian importers will look to other non tariff ridden sources.

Like super simply the $100 item from American with a tariff is now $125 so the non tariff item from not America that costs say $110 is now competitive. All this is going to do is wreck up long established supply chains and cost end consumers more.

The reason Trump is using tariffs is because Congress has delegated that power over to the executive. He isn't protecting any crucial industry or national security or anything just hand waving nonsense about tariffs lowering taxes that his barely literate base is eating up. And of course the Republicans working in gov't are also eating it up, because their goal has been to destroy what little social safety net exists in this country and generally show that the gov't doesn't work by breaking it.

If there was a game show like are you smarter than a fifth grader, but instead it is are you smarter than previous President George Bush Jr. and twice impeached previous President Trump is the first contestant would Trump win? So basically who is smarter the 43rd or 45th?
