Love the albums he's recorded with Priest.
Thanks, Les.

Good. I hope it was extremely painful and frightening.

And actually evil!

He's trying to emulate Genghis Khan, isn't he?

So, Sauber fucked before the season even has started?
I hope not...

Hey man, good to see you posting here as well!
Great choice again!

Just commenting here on the False Reality post because that got locked:
It is more crossover than Suicidals's first album... Just saying...

Yup, mine too! :D

That's a fair point, it would be interesting to hear a different mix.
I hope that will be in the future: being able to download all the seperate channels of a track so you can make your own mix. I would love to hear what people would come up with! :D

That snare drum ruins it for me. I like all the rest, but I'll never understand why anyone would choose such a shitty pompous snare drum sound like that..

Great watch, a lot of early footage I'd never seen before!

Thrashy new year, peeps! Here's my first post for 2025.
This band was truly unique and way ahead of their time! Proggy and technical, but also bravely emotionally vulnerable with some of their more wave-laced parts.
They re-recorded their first two albums, and did a great job. YouTube link is for the original 1990 version, Bandcamp is the re-recording so you can compare ;)

Furious crossover of blackened thrash, crust and... SKA!
And it works! Completely unique, never heard this mix of styles before or after. Sadly, the band is no more, as far as I could gather...
Bonus: the album is free to download on Bandcamp!

More heavy breathing...
Thrash 'n' roll crossing into Swedish death territory! Infectious stuff!

Macabre's first release always felt more thrash than death or grind to me.
Some might think differently. Great album anyway!

Crossover thrash with D.R.I.'s Kurt Brecht and some Dead Horse members!

Also fit for Halloween lists! ;)

Love their gritty sound.
The whole mini-album is Name Your Price to download, so even for free!

Dutch thrash from their first album Malleus Maleficarum.
Became more death metal with the second album, and more prog from their third. First two are my favs.

More Canadian thrash/crossover. This is from their first album Dead Brain Cells. Lovely piece of intense music!
Their second album Universe went for a more technical sci-fi approach, with a Voivod vibe. But it didn't really work for me, I missed the older energy.
They are recording again, since 30 years, and it does sound promising!

Not pure thrash, but a universe in itself.
Their first album When The Kite String Pops, is mandatory listening for every extreme music fan!
From thrash to sludge to acoustic to groove, it's beyond styles.
Insanity as a musical style. One of the sickest albums out there. I simply call it swamp metal as it radiates damp, rotting, stinking heat.
Vocalist Dax Riggs is out of this world with his vocal range, I'm actually amazed he didn't just die from spitting his guts out!

Note on the video: it's an album track with some live footage patched to it. It doesn't fit exactly, so it feels a bit amateuristic. But it does convey the immense energy of Dax and the band!
