Both have laws like that in the making and beside tiny formalities the UK sadly didn't abandone it at all! :/

Have you ever touched a Google phone? You CAN'T uninstalled preinstalled apps on ether of them, if you don't root your device third party app stores suck, the law allows you to get rid of preinstalled bloat, messager interoperability is included and so on, that's a huge law and the first against silicon valley giants with enforcment that will actually hurt them!

Sorry, I mean browser engine. True, it certainly wanst the worse and a huge step up from IE and now it's just another blink shell but I wouldn't touch a Microsoft engine even if Google had 100% marketshare!

We should probably make a universal one along the lines of "fine with silicon valley" o something!

Absolutely, I would still like to have a collection of their garbage moderation to point to tho, well if people cut out all the CSAM that is!

I would rather use Googles search engine than put up with majore dissatvantages in terms of speed and performance to be able to use Microsofts, never forget how they treated the internet before!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Yea, we have the same issue in Austria but technically that's illegal behaviour and you should be able to report it somewhere!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Almoat true, it actually has to be a opt in system, opt out is illegal already!

[–] [email protected] 22 points 2 years ago

I generally agree with the statment under that image and it's certainly a funny meme but also Illegal, sadly the enforcment is a joke but that's not really the laws fault!

I kind of like that idea, do we have any Twitter users here to do something like that too?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

You hit the nail on the head with that one!
