I’d like to request a feature to swipe to go forward. My phone is ancient (iphone 8+) and lags a little bit during long sessions with actions like swiping to go back. Sometimes I will swipe to leave a post, and it will register twice, opening the communities drawer[1] or accidentally press the “Posts” button when scrolling the feeds.

From the drawer, there’s no way to get back to where I was without tapping on the feed in the list again, causing a reload and having to scroll all the way back down[2].

Steps to reproduce:

1. Pick a feed (Home for example). Scroll down some.
2. Swipe back to open the drawer or press the posts button.
3. Pick your feed again and let out a forlorn sigh.

[1] This is an issue in all apps, not just Voyager, I wanted to mention because its not the fault of Voyager.

[2] Hiding read posts on scroll isn’t enabled, as it depends on the time of day what subjects I am interested in and manually hide what I've already read.

There have been users spamming CSAM content in [email protected] causing it to federate to other instances. If your instance is subscribed to this community, you should take action to rectify it immediately. I recommend performing a hard delete via command line on the server.

I deleted every image from the past 24 hours personally, using the following command: sudo find /srv/lemmy/example.com/volumes/pictrs/files -type f -ctime -1 -exec rm {} \;

I saw this morning that firefish.lgbt has been shut down due to a total loss of data.

It is a tragedy and an unfortunate reminder that even though backups are successful, you don't have actually backups until you've tested a full recovery.

This is a friendly reminder to our admins (and other sysadmins), please test your backups and practice recovery protocol. 💖

There's more, since the user is new, it is highly likely that it is a joke, but I want to be cautious and throw out a warning in case it is not.

Is the settings page broken for anyone else? I've tried to change my language and enable 2FA on both Firefox and Ungoogled Chromium. The button just spins for a split second, and then nothing. The language settings worked before the upgrade, so I'm wondering if anything broke?

Is there a way to add descriptions for images when pasting a link or uploading?
