Not to be an asshole, but...

Is an asshole.

Not to be racist, but...

Is racist.

Not to be [shitty human traits], but...

Is [shitty human trait].

I dislike it when people do that. You can't excuse your wrongness by admitting you're wrong beforehand...

I almost hope this is what that was... it would make a bit less horrible. Not by much tho.

Despite >100 years of entomological surveys, the bone collector species has only been found in a 15-km2 area of mesic forest in the Waiʻanae mountain range on the island of Oʻahu. Typically, an endemic Hawaiian lineage will contain multiple species with similar habits distributed across at least part of the archipelago [e.g., (11, 12)], but no other member of the bone collector lineage has been found. Phylogenomic analysis shows that the bone collector lineage is at least 6 million years old, >3 million years older than the island of Oʻahu (Fig. 3) (13).

The forest is being increasingly occupied by invasive species.

I did this a lot with poptarts as a kid. I'm sure I would still do it, but I hate poptarts now.

~~Scolopendra subspinipes~~

~~...the species is known by many common names, including jungle centipede, orange-legged centipede, Hawaiian centipede, and Vietnamese centipede.~~

~~...it is also found on virtually all land areas around and within the Indian Ocean, all of tropical and subtropical Asia from Russia to the islands of Malaysia and Indonesia, Australia, South and Central America, the Caribbean islands, and possibly parts of the southern United States...~~

I think it's actually Scolopendra alternans because the one pictured has only 4 segments on it's antennae, but subspinipes has many.

Scolopendra alternans is a species group found in the whole Caribbean island and northern South America, with the Florida population reevaluated as a distinct species Scolopendra longipes.[1] They have also been reported as far north as Georgia.

“Despite the support and enjoyment of the anime by our readers, a business practice that does not benefit the manga artist has persisted. I felt obligated to remain silent until the issue was resolved, and I apologize to the readers who have supported me as a manga artist for this extended period.”

Due to non-payment of royalties, the author had even contemplated pulling the anime and its related songs from streaming platforms during the dispute.

However, earlier this year, Ai reached out to the Ganma! editorial department and Comic Smart to investigate the matter.

In August 2024, the company acknowledged their failure to uphold the royalty payments stipulated in the contract. The editorial department issued a formal apology to Ai and provided a detailed report of the situation.

By the end of August, they calculated the amount owed and transferred the full payment to her.

Lot's of different styles with this band, the later songs are heavily influenced by RAtM which is awesome. Lmk what you think.

Also I can't really find anything about these guys, all my searches turn up some weird pseudoscience stuff by the same name.

I only found this one genius article: https://genius.com/artists/Reiki
