Interesting read! I always forget about how much a game's localization team can have an impact on the experience.

Hell yeah, I really appreciate the effort it took to complete this post! It definitely reminds me of a simpler time.
Has anyone tried out the mobile port of Dredge? Some friends have recommended the original game to me, but I'm wondering if I'd be more willing to play it on my phone.
Nice! Excited to see how this plays, I don't think I've touched the game since before the Crusader/Falconer was released.
Haha thanks, I whooshed as well!
Which level(s) will you be playing at? I personally prefer the Barbarian class's flavor over the Fighter, but depending on level, you'll get more attacks and ASIs as a Fighter.
Overall, I'd say a Champion Fighter would be more straightforward, but a Berserker Barbarian would be more fun to play.
I absolutely adore this game, but imo it's a terrible candidate for a remaster. The graphics were already stylized so I doubt a graphics update would make much difference. It's a puzzle game so the replayability is already low. And I can't imagine that developer commentary get people excited about buying the game again.
I wish this was successful, but I can see why this went sideways.
Ah, that's a good comparison! I don't agree with the original comment - I think outlaws has a fun flavor, and I doubt they're going to be using that keyword outside of these sets. I might have an issue if they did.
To your point, historic never resonated with my, though I see what they were trying to do with it.
I'm guessing they meant the reference to "outlaws."
Oof that's a tough one... mull to 5 is rough, they probably figured they'd have a better chance to draw those lands, especially if the curve was good.
Esper taking a huge chunk of the field, but honestly still pretty diverse metagame. It might have something to do with the bigger card pool. I'm excited to see what comes out on top!
There are dozens of us! I think the book is enjoyable if all you're expecting is a fun but shallow ride. If it's been hyped up, it's going to be disappointing. A lot of reviews treat it like the pinnacle of the genre, which is ridiculous.
Thanks for the heads up that this exists! Me and a friend were just about to play ds3 again, and seamless co-op would be a huge QoL improvement.
