Hey, can you provide a source for that? I just tried to find something on wikipedia about it. While the organizational form positions DW significantly nearer to the government than the rest of german public broadcasting, it is not like the government does the journalistic work or has a direct say in it. So while a critique on DW being too close to the federal government seems fitting, calling it propaganda and the literal governments news outlet seems far fetched.

People also trust other exchanges enough, despite big problems/scandals/crisies. In that Russia doesn't seem so different from the USA, especially now, that both are getting close and mor similar again

Don't see the first point. The vast majority of protests are happening near the places where the people live. All the protests I have been too were not at the place of our government. It was our city and the next one. No long travel time and it still works.

The rest is true though. Germany is on the best way to revive the original nazi agenda for example. Probably an AfD coalition on next vote and then the power seize. Fml

The bee die-offs, that one typically hears about, has nothing to do with honey bees. Honey bees don't show any signs of going extinct. Its may of the other bee species, which are dying off. And that is bad because of the species liking different specific plants, which often rely on this bee species to be pollinated.

Surely, this is a this-is-why-we-can't-have-nice-things situation. Fuck Putin

Ooohhhh, now I see that it is Ellen. I first thought it was Bernd Höcke, a current polititian for the nazi party AfD in germany XD

Sorr-, you are already way too deep in your rabbit hole. Nobidy of us will get you out there. Probably truth.social is a better platform for your views (judging from your profile).

I read like 4 Vonnegut books (Galapagos, Sirens of Titan, Cats cradle, slaughterhouse nr 5), and honestly all if them were pretty weird.

Yeah, I vaguely remember some sentences mentioning how incompetent some wizards and witches can be.

What do you mean by mercenaries? The magical government has its aurors, which is kind of a police force working against the dark arts. And they caught many deatheaters, though were beaten from within the ministry.

I don't think he meant that kind of cursed.

Probably more important is why Dumbledoor wasn't able to get even ONE fitting DADA teacher, meaning without something making him unfit for the job, seemingly or inreality, after Quirrel (and we don't know if Quirrel was a good teacher before he got Voldy in his brain).

Lockhard was an obvious fraud, Lupin was a great teacher but unfortunatly a werewolf, Mad Eye was mad/a disguised deatheater and Snape was a bad teacher all along. (Umbridge was bot chosen by Dumbledor, so she doesn't count).

Hell, what is he even doing all day? Couldn't he just do the DADA classes himself, if he didn't find anyone fitting for the job?!

She does! She could have emptied multiple supermarkets, but nah, who needs food if you have books to read. Everytime I really doubt, that Hermione wouldn't think of stocking food in her bag. So much conflict, so easily preventible...

Hi,

I'm rather new to web development. For my local scouts troop I'm currently trying to build a webapp to show a big browsable timeline of the troops chronicles (We have many big folders of paper showing what the scouts did that year). I've already build the ground structure based on Django for the backend and vue for the frontend. And I can display the individual elements of the chronicles (Writings, articles, pictures; videos and audio for newer entries) in a list.

Now I want to create a component, that will display a horizontal timeline with the ability to move and zoom, showing elements depending on the zoom level with different level of detail. I want to make it easy to browse the timeline of over 70 years with entries per year (like 30 elements per year).

I already tried timeline-js, but it doesn't quite behave like I want it to be (zooming, different levels of detail,...). For me it seems, that it cannot really be customized enough to reach my goal (though I might be wrong about that).

Then I thought about building that timeline component myself, though I don't know where to start in building such a component (how to draw the timeline itself with its markings, how to draw the elements at the correct position,...)

Can you give me a hint/direction where I should look for a solution? Maybe you know a tutorial for a similar situation (creating your own complex UI components)?

Thanks in advance for your help! Currently I feel like I don't know enough to ask the correct question to a search engine for a solution.
