Interesting, right before Indiana Jones release.

Do they think it won't bump GamePass numbers so this deal will make it feel like that post launch?

Or do they think players are so hyped about the game and this is a way to get them addicted to the idea of subscription service instead of letting them buy full price because subscriptions pay off better in the long run?

I remember it being a big deal, well, some deal for a brief while, that God of War Ragnarok had reused boat animations from the previous game. Similarly for Horizon Forbidden West I think.

Anyway, sports games come annually and literally feel like the same game with some adjustments here and there and they're usually the best sellers lol, so this issue feels like a very "online thing", or perhaps the title makes it seem like there's a big inexcusable issue that needs a "defence".

I absolutely loved Lies of P. I am too afraid of souls games but this was quite tightly scoped and very approachable for me (consumables were a neat solution to most of my problems). The music was spot on too!

And more importantly, it looked great and ran so well on all platforms. I can totally see them going the survival horror route, just that I feel we've had enough Resident Evil likes lately (even Alan Wake 2 feels like that).

"Take all this woke vegan food and green EVs with your liberal mindset back to where it belongs; China. Wait, what?"

I wonder if we'll see remasters or definitive editions in coming years for games released with older versions. Nanite foliage might be a lot of work I guess.

Being an Xbox fan in Japan would be interesting and frustrating I suppose.

It's great how this has helped them make many more games after that.

I actually love getting On this day emails from OneDrive. It brings up old pics that I wouldn't have cared to look at.

I think the issue was precisely that. They didn't plan for the surge of users coming in on day one and whatever cloud hybrid system they have for this game got overwhelmed. We'll get to know about the game's actual quality a week from now I guess.
