I use librewolf just because it’s privacy focused.

But, there is also waterfox, floorp, and mercury, just off the top of my head.

Frankly they should probably split off the ad side from everything else.

Safari had its own web engine, WebKit, which chromium’s web engine, blink, is actually a fork of.

Opera Used to have it’s own web engine, presto, but they rebased to blink in 2013.

But yah, your options these days for the basis of your browser are basically WebKit(Apple), Gecko(Mozilla) and Blink(Google).

looks like you dropped opera about the same time it rebased to blink (chromium) from their own web engine, presto.

“Seed oils” is used by this crowd of wackos to refer to a bunch of oils that aren’t from seeds, like palm oil which comes from the fruit of the oil palm. The actual definition is stuff like sesame, sunflower, and rapeseed oil, but these people use it to mean basically any thing that is commonly used.

Ah yes seed oils bad, as supposed to… what? Animal fat? Butter?

Like, I’m sorry, olive oil counts as a seed oil if half the things mentioned are seed oils.

I’ll never willingly buy a laptop again that I can’t fix my self TBH.

My laptop is my only computer (unless you count my phone, which had to function as my main device for a while during these incidents) so having to send it out for a month is a huge inconvenience. The unreliability of razers was just such a massive issue on top of that.

The fact that I stuck with them so long is largely because they were one of the few non-brick computers with discrete GPUs. I just deal with a larger form factor now, small price to pay to have something that works and I can fix my self when it doesn’t.

I bought three razer laptops, all of them had serious issues that shouldn’t have been shipped, battery bloat on two, I sent both in to get the battery issue fixed and then the batteries bloated again, one had the power block melt and catch fire, and the latest one had the GPU just stop being seen by the system.

The last, when I sent it in to get fixed, took two months to get past the outsourced warranty service, and then they refused to fix the issue, claiming “The cpu is damaged by total immersion in water and we don’t cover water damage” Despite it never having been exposed to water and the issue not being with the CPU, which was firing on all cylinders when I shipped it in.

Never buying from them ever again

If you were to say, ride a bike from Washington D.C. to Portland Oregon, they money saved on gas, maintenance, insurance, and lease payments, would amount to three times the hours of work to pay, assuming a median U.S income.

This is a ridiculous example, but, frankly, saying our main mode of transit should be cars because we might want to take a long road trip once a year is absurd. It’s an outlier use case that could be addressed with other systems more effectively.

Holy shit Zelenskyy appears to have seriously triggered them.

I wonder if he said something to the effect of “no i will not participate in your stupid fake peace process, if you want to stop supporting us, say it with your full chest to your own country where I have a higher approval rating than you.”

It’s not for game developers, it’s to convince capital that they should keep funding Microsoft’s data center expansions. Keep funding the methane companies that provide the power for them.
