Come visit the UK. We have fluid ounces too, but only for baking. Your drink will be served by the millilitre, unless it's beer in a pub, or milk in a home, in which case it will be served by the pint.

Sticker price isn't the price you pay at the till. Why? Why do you do that.

Massive gaps between the walls and doors of public lavatory cubicles. This is not some mystical, advanced technology. Get it together.

Feel free to post alternative sources.

You'll struggle to find one that doesn't state the same facts: that following forensic investigation the victim's American Bully XL was destroyed, and two dachshunds were returned to their owners without issue.

The dachshunds were returned to their owners. The victim's dog, an American Bully XL, was destroyed.

After investigation, it was determined that the woman in question

is believed to have been killed by her own American Bully XL

The victim's dog

was the only animal to have been destroyed, which they believe to be an American Bully XL

while

two seized dachshunds were returned to their owner.

Many thanks. I wish I was surprised. The XL ban was announced before the breed involved in this incident was announced.

~~the breeds of the two dogs who killed the man in Stonnall is currently not known~~

Staffordshire Police said it was understood the dogs were XL bullys, but further tests were being carried out to determine their breed.

Article has been updated. Not a surprising update.

Em, no. No it isn't. Private healthcare gets to cherry pick off all the more straightforward stuff (knee replacements, dermatology) but curiously enough is quite content for the NHS to handle all the expensive stuff (intensive care, trauma).

It took over 40 years to privatise everything on that list. Not exactly "fairly quick".

Feel free to consider it "scaremongering bollocks" all you like, but be aware that government ministers literally wrote a book about how much they want to do it.

And be aware everyone thought that British Rail would never be privatised, either. But of course it was. After it had been run into the ground through underfunding.

Wow. Patients given choice? Perish the thought! You should be forced to have mediocre healthcare, peasant!

Do you think private healthcare is illegal in the UK or something? Have you not heard of people going private?

It is a bold move to say that "Tories want to privatise nationalised services" is a conspiracy theory, given the number of times they have already done it.

It was thought that British Rail was so beloved that no one would dare sell that off, too.

It's not very good now that the Tories have starved it of funds for over a decade with a view to selling it off.

In 2005, Direct Democracy: An Agenda For A New Model Party was co-authored Jeremy Hunt Michael Gove, David Gauke, and Kwasi Kwarteng, among others.

On page 78, it states that

Our ambition should be to break down the barriers between private and public provision, in effect denationalising the provision of health care in Britain.

And on page 74 asserts that

patients, either through the tax system or by way of universal insurance, [should] purchase health care from the provider of their choice

NHS c. 2009 was excellent. Don't forget that.

MPs will now have to vote on the proposed eight-week suspension. The motion must be tabled by the government and cannot be amended or debated.

If the punishment is endorsed, a recall petition will be opened. Were 10% of voters in his constituency to sign it, a byelection would be called.

Should Pincher choose to stand down then a byelection would automatically be triggered, though the date for it would be announced by the government.

His Tamworth seat should be a comfortable hold for the Conservatives. In 2019, Pincher had a majority just shy of 20,000 votes.
