Can you know something if it's false? Is that the question?

For cusp people, it has more to do with what generation YOUR parents identify with the strictly your own birth date.

This can just get appealed, right? I mean obviously the clock is on Trump's side, but a judge can't just magically wave away crimes on double Jeopardy like this, can they?

Then she will get a raise and be on fox news for a decade

Because they have a political science department?

Gerrymandering would make the president like the House. 55% of voters select Democrats but then 52% of selected representatives are Republicans 🤔

They would have uploaded his brain into a supercomputer and then forced him to experience death six million times over.

Just kidding, he would have been executed like many many other war criminals throughout history.

I'm curious if they look alike

A home econ class or hell even a math class could assign everyone some facts about their fictional situation (like a w2, number of kids, house payments, donations, etc) and then have everyone do their taxes for the year.

You'd teach the process. And spend some time looking at the tax table. Learning about standard deduction, learn about turning your taxes in on time.....

Reminds me of the tunnel the guy paid bitcoin to build under his house in Maryland a few years ago.

Had a carajillo at a fancy brunch spot and it was the best thing I'd ever had. The menu said it was espresso, licor 43, averna amaro, and orange blossom water. Well I don't have an espresso maker nor orange blossom water. So here's what I did.

1oz averna

1/4oz licor 43

1/4oz frangelico (why not?)

Liberal amounts of orange bitters.

Stirred to mix and then topped off with 3-6oz of hot coffee.

Definitely close enough to what I had with actual espresso.

The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a request by special counsel Jack Smith to fast-track arguments on whether Donald Trump has any immunity from federal prosecution for alleged crimes he committed while in office – a move that will likely delay his trial.

The court did not explain its reasoning and there were no noted dissents.

Both sides will still have the option of appealing an eventual ruling by the DC Circuit Court of Appeals up to the high court, but the court’s move is a major victory for Trump, whose strategy of delay in the criminal case included mounting a protracted fight over the immunity question, which must be settled before his case goes to trial.

An expedited review of the issue is already underway at the DC Circuit, which has scheduled oral arguments for January 9. The election subversion trial is currently set to begin in March.

2 oz Jeppson's Malort

4 oz Charged yuzu lemonade

If the lemonade doesn't kill you, the Malort will make you wish you had been predisposed to heart failure.

I'm not sure I have ever had a proper white Russian, but I saw someone making them with egg nog so I thought why not? Half coffee rum/cognac instead of vodka, and half kahlua/frangelico instead of coffee liqueur.

1/2oz coffee rum

1/2oz cognac

1/4oz kahlua

1/4oz frangelico

Dash of chocolate and walnut bitters.

Top with an ounce or two of egg nog, then gently stir.

At a restaurant I love, there is a great cocktail with scotch, amaro and sherry. When I saw the amaro in question for sale at a wine store I had to have it. Pasubio is a wine-based amaro (kept in fridge). My first attempt at a cocktail with is (straight up Manhattan with Pasubio instead of sweet vermouth) was maybe too smoky. Tasted like scotch. So take two:

2oz rye

0.5oz Pasubio amaro

0.5oz sweet vernouth

Dash orange bitters

I love it. Spicy, fruity, smokey.

Who knew the ABC website let you just search avaibility! Do you guys think a better gin should be used than Bombay?

Anyways:

An ounce each of gin, chartreuse, Luxardo cherry liqueur, and lime juice. Garnished with a store bought cherry.

I'm not really a sour or citrus juice guy (can hurt my gums) but this drink is very good. Very refreshing. Fruity and herbal. Will be trying the Naked and Famous as well as a chartreuse Manhattan soon.
