I've been worried about this. I figured that Mozilla is funded by Google (so they can say that they've taken steps to avoid the perception that they are a Browser monopoly). Would Mozilla lose their funding of Google no longer has that Browser monopoly?

I think it would be great if the technology was more mature, and there was proper accountability for the negative consequences. I think we need a conservative approach npw, where the CEO of the companies pushing self driving are personally held liable for manslaughter if someone dies due to an error.

Oh yeah the annual firebreak check for sure does happen out my way, though definitely not every year. I think that's spot on re/ personal vendettas. Oh yeah that stuff gets more hectic every year, even residential bush fire risk for new builds are really strict now depending on the BAL rating.
Yeah, I don't believe that Mozilla could afford to lose that funding.
