Sounds about right, yeah.

It's quite dangerous, the magnetron can kill very easily. There's this youtuber called styropyro who's done some really cool stuff with them though

All cars with computers are vulnerable

In the US I'm pretty sure you can just buy them online.

Holy crap, that's unfortunate :(

make people presume you're "rebelling against woke"?

I already have a "FDT" sticker and a "F ELON" sticker, so I don't think so.

Orbán has been using the exact same symbology lately, they are stealing Star Wars scenes for campaign ads

Ugh really? Why do bad people try to ruin nice things :(

It's the logo for the rebel alliance from star wars

Ah ok. Forgive my ignorance, but some of the most reliable and inexpensive printer manufacturers are Prusa (Czech Republic) and Bambu (China). Do they not ship to Egypt?

Props on the successful build then. There have been a handful of moments where I've cringed in fear while watching a software engineer use power tools.

I've already purchased what I plan to replace the logo on my model 3 with. I need to confirm that my technique for removing the adhesive residue won't affect the paint and make sure I'll be able to properly align the replacement logo and then I'll have it swapped out. Hopefully by the end of the week.

I can't say that I support this. Most Tesla owners bought their car before he was a nazi. Most Tesla owners don't have the funds to just buy a different car unexpectedly, especially now that the prices have dropped so much. If you want to vandalize a Tesla just do it at the dealership. That being said, vandalizing cybertrucks doesn't bother me as much even if it belongs to an individual.

Dang. Which country?

I am of the age to have kids, some of my friends have them, but I have mixed feelings about it, just wondering about other people's experiences.

I've been shooting every now and then for the last 20-ish years and I'm a decent shot. I've shot a handful of different pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Leaning towards getting a pistol, not totally sure what I'd get. It would be for home/self defense but I like to go to the range sometimes. I'm considering:

  • Some sort of 1911
  • Ruger LC380 (is it even possible to get a CCW in CA?)

Any thoughts/recommendations?

First, a hardware question. I'm looking for a computer to use as a... router? Louis calls it a router but it's a computer that is upstream of my whole network and has two ethernet ports. And suggestions on this? Ideal amount or RAM? Ideal processor/speed? I have fiber internet, 10 gbps up and 10 gbps down, so I'm willing to spend a little more on higher bandwidth components. I'm assuming I won't need a GPU.

Anyways, has anyone had a chance to look at his guide? It's accompanied by two youtube videos that are about 7 hours each.

I don't expect to do everything in his guide. I'd like to be able to VPN into my home network and SSH into some of my projects, use Immich, check out Plex or similar, and set up a NAS. Maybe other stuff after that but those are my main interests.

Any advice/links for a beginner are more than welcome.

Edit: thanks for all the info, lots of good stuff here. OpenWRT seems to be the most frequently recommended thing here so I'm looking into that now. Unfortunately my current router/AP (Asus AX6600) is not supported. I was hoping to not have to replace it, it was kinda pricey, I got it when I upgraded to fiber since it can do 6.6gbps. I'm currently looking into devices I can put upstream of my current hardware but I might have to bite the bullet and replace it.

Edit 2: This is looking pretty good right now.

1st time printing with ASA and it's my largest print that doesn't have any straight lines. I typically only design things with straight lines, pretty pleased with how this turned out. Threw in a cactus to fend off the cats but fortunately they don't seem very interested. Printed on a Bambu X1 carbon with Polymaker ASA.

It's a trap.

They're almost 3 now. When I picked them up they had different names (Miley and Twilight) but nobody knew which was which so I figured different names were in order.

Made by a woodworking youtuber (blacktail studios) I watch sometimes.
