We used to have one day a week without any tech and they build dens in the woods, built a raft for the river and came back soaking wet, they played D&D with pen and paper. You have to give them the freedom to be bored, get filthy, get lost, covered in art stuff. Also, that kid from Mesopotamia probably had chores anytime he looked bored.

This article is kinda incorrect because Colombia didn't actually back down at all. What happened is that Trump sent the migrants back on a military plane and in shackles. Now deportation flights happen all the time actually, but they are on civilian planes and not in shackles. So all the Colombians asked was to treat the people with decency and not like criminals. Trump ended up sending them on a normal plane ,not in shackles the second time, and Colombia accepted. All Colombia wanted was to stop the stupid performative cruelty.
Depends. Are you a rich, white, straight male? You will be fine and can ignore everything. But if you are any shade of brown, an immigrant or belong to any minority group or are female or have loved ones belonging to anyone of these groups, then you should pay attention as they might genuinely be in danger.
Great-grandma was 103 when she died, she was born in 1899 and saw so many changes in her life. I remember her sitting on the porch smoking her pipe and telling me of her life. Even when she was very old she still took delight in so many things. Her favorite in the whole world was her television. As a teenager, she would sneak of to watch movies at the local cinema, that was just a room with a bunch of chairs set up. So when televisions came out she was over the moon. My grandmas both lived to 100, grandma died in March this year. I doubt I will live that long what with plastic in our bodies and brains.

I have a copy but am not sure using it for anything at all beyond my own curiosity is probably illegal, including posting it anywhere.
