The Switch 2 has a new hardware size and some software (like Labo and Ring Fit) has a physical component that is sized to the original Switch/Joy-Con. It could be referring to that.

I think it’s so that they could accommodate a 1080p camera (previous generations were 720p). Looking at other laptops with 1080p cameras, manufacturers have approached this in a few different ways such as a thicker top bezel or a protrusion upwards beyond the rest of the bezel (This shows some computers but is certainly not exhaustive: https://www.adorama.com/lists/laptops-with-1080p-camera). For the MacBook, it’s a reasonable compromise because MacOS has the omnipresent menu bar (except full-screen mode). The top-center portion of the screen isn’t used most of the time. That being said, the height of the menu bar was increased on Macs with the notch, so I’m not sure on the difference in usable space. I would certainly like to see Face ID on the Mac in the future though.

I loved Donkey Kong Country Returns and Tropical Freeze but oh man some of those bonus levels are brutal. I died so many times on Bopopolis. 100%’d both games, but I do not have the patience to get the 200%. I still need to play through the original though – it’s been a while since I last tried.

I didn’t think any devices even adopted Ethernet over HDMI

A little while back, my hometown’s mayoral election was decided by a difference of just 5 votes. Unfortunately, the candidate I didn’t like won the election. I didn’t live there anymore and wasn’t able to vote, but it really showed me the importance of voting at all levels of government.

Is this a HomeKit camera or are you using third party software? HomeKit allows for defining zones for activity detection (so you could exclude an area) and only sending activity during certain times. If you don’t use HomeKit, maybe your camera software has a similar setting.

Is there a source on this? My initial fact check search suggests this was debunked.

For my initial guess, I try to guess values based on the target color. Beyond that, I admittedly just guess up and down based on the arrows since they coarsely indicate magnitude.
