Windows 10 isn't going to suddenly stop working the instant it's "EOL". If anything, I'm looking forward to no more random reboots at 3am following a mandatory update that didn't do anything useful.

When (no really, I'm genuinely curious, please link me)?

Besides, which is worse: genocide, or a full ethnic cleansing with a war on science, arts, women, BIPOC people, and the LGBT+ community at home?

Because by protesting the former you got the latter. I sure hope you like that moral high ground..

Now if only all these people upset at Trump could have done something useful about it when they had the chance, like I dunno, voting against him...

Remember the BLM protests under his watch? He just had them gassed so he could have a photo op. I don't doubt he'd go further this time around. And with him gutting every federal agency that could protect Americans from foreign influence, they're not getting a useful opposition any time soon...

Steam Machines flopped for a whole bunch of reasons. Many of those have been fixed over the intervening years. Consoles are now all basically PCs, and the market leader runs a variant of BSD (iirc). That makes native Linux gaming a much easier thing to pull off. Then, there's Proton which is apparently basically some kind of black magic where Windows games can run better under Linux than under Windows. There's also much better peripheral device support than there used to be. Valve has also created a basically fixed platform with the Steamdeck (and its AMD-basef competition), meaning developers have a defined set of features they can target for a good experience.

I'm here for this. If they can overcome the Nvidia issues, I'll just stick my gaming rig in my loungeroom and build something smaller and cooler for my main workstation..

Am I the only one that sees the flaccid wang?

InfoWars the company is being transferred. The InfoWars X account is staying with InfoWars. Legally speaking, there's no change of ownership here, Musk is delusional.

Problem is when things like Kerbal Space Program 2 happen, and they release a buggy mess and charge full price for it and then abandon the project.

I feel like established publishers (Take 2, Codemasters come to mind) should be specifically excluded from the Early Access program, or perhaps price limits should be imposed on games in the program..

Of all the games that could benefit from a remastering in 2024, Horizon Zero Dawn would be among the last of them. That game still looks utterly gorgeous, ffs.

My very large organisation has Gimp available for basic image manipulation. I've tried to get them to use Paint.NET instead, but nooooo... Apparently we like hitting nails with jackhammers around here

As a slight tangent, I recently got an electric moped. It has a maximum speed of 48kph, and the speed limit on my route to work and back every day is 50kph.

I bet that if we made a Venn diagram of all the people that say "I'd respect cyclists of they were forced to be registered with number plates and insurance" and the people that insist on overtaking me in single-lane suburban streets because I'm going 2kph below the limit, it would just be a perfect circle.

It runs on Android now, which might be what's gotten Nintendo extra annoyed here, since there are some relatively affordable Android handhelds that can run Switch games at close to full speed with some tweaking.

Having said that, I have an Odin 2 handheld, and it would have been cheaper and easier to just buy a Switch and the games I want to play.
