Flatpak for the Win!
Get it? For the WIN?
That assumtion is an annual cost. Although doing it for one year only would still probably reduce the homeless numbers considerably.

I live in Germany, and I can assure you no such check exists. I have one of these systems (although I don't plug mine into the grid, I store power in batteries and use it)
I'm not sure how the electricians protect themselves, I can only assume that they measure for voltage on the line after disconnecting from the grid, and then search for the culprits. Generally speaking any service providers inform residents well beforehand about outages, and there might be fines if you hold back work? I haven't looked into it, perhaps someone else has more info.
I think it's not really fair to compare 1940s India with current American politics.
It feels somewhat like saying "the Mongolian army took over half of Eurasia with mounted archers, Ukraine should just use those against Russia!"
It's just not comparable, different cultures, different opponents, and wildly different technology. And this isn't just the US, it is a worldwide class war. Organized resistance on that scale, especially when the ruling elite can monitor nearly 100% of all communication, just isn't something that's going to happen, even with a charismatic figurehead.
I use a remarkable 2 to take notes during meetings and brainstorm, and until now I've been using it for todo lists as well. But I'm going to start using obsidian for the lists (and documentation, etc.) as of tomorrow. I already use it to organize TTRPG campaigns, and it's high time I started organizing my work life as well as my fantasy hobby. (>n<)
