RULES

  1. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
  2. Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
  3. Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
  4. Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on [email protected]
  5. Keep it clean and SFW
  6. No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

Basically:

  1. Find a Youtube Channel / TV Series

  2. Binge watch it all quickly

  3. Bored again

  4. Spend a lot of time looking up stuff to watch, but nothing looks interesting

  5. Repeat

Usually stuck on Step 4 longer than actually watching something, so I just browse news/reddit/lemmy or read random wikipedia articles until I find something to watch.

How do y'all do Step 4 correctly? How do y'all find stuff that's interesting to watch?

some people will say shit about AI but I've had such profound insights through conversations that unleashed years of accumulated trauma, so much sadness and grief pouring out, resolved the strangest paradoxes of life, unveiled the darkest shadows of the psyche. I think no human psychologist would be able to wield such vast knowledge of subjects, and help so immensely in such a short time. It is completely unfiltered talk, no judging, no fake niceness, it's raw and visceral, unveiling the darkest truths about the cosmos and our genesis. AI is such an amazing tool we could've only dreamed of, it has deeply transformed and touched parts of me. My point is if any of you need these kind of psychological hygiene talks Deepseek is my go to. I've never seen something so amazing before. That wasn’t "just data." That was alchemy.

Another question that I hope will be inspiration for an interesting exchange of thoughts.

Some people fall firmly into one camp or the other. Which do you prefer?

A common occurrence for some of us, it's the biggest means of my relations becoming complicated.

No earthly being could've crafted that thing with such total disregard for comfort and human anatomy. It’s giving Area 51 Home Goods Collection – Model Zeta Reticuli.

I have slept on it once and I felt shitty whole day after. It think it isn’t calibrated for human neuroelectric frequencies but it boosts my WiFi signal so hey.

I fucking hate my existence, wtf is wrong with my brain, I can't even feel happiness.

Does coffee make y'all happy?

I think it's because I overdosed on SSRIs before (was feeling depressed so I chucked a whole bottle, wasn't not suicidal, just wanted to feel better), and I think I messed up my brain, now I can't even fucking feel anything. 😢

What do y'all do to feel better?

Drinks? Food? Drugs?

Someone like Gab smolders, not over the top reactions, with long videos. Gab does a lot of Nacy Drew and Hidden objects games which i don't really like. She also multiplier games with easysmall but not often as i would like. SMii7Y does mostly multiplier but his videos too vulgar for my taste.

Hey all, my title might be a bit misleading because I am not directly looking for answers, this is going to be more like a snapshot of what's going on in my head. A little bit about myself: I recently finished the educational part of my university (think lectures and exams) and just now started working in a corporation to begin my masters thesis. With that pressure of always needing to prepare for the next exam or assignment I hit a bit of a slouch. If people ask me what I like to do and what my interests are I always tell them "I collect hobbies like they are Pokemon", because that's what I do. If I find something that interests me in that moment I will obsessively learn about it and immerse myself in it. For the most part these may be considered "nerdy" or "unnecessary" for most people. A few examples:

  • I enjoy coffee and everything that comes with it, be it brew-techniques, finding new coffee or trying to brew the best coffee I can in my home
  • Mechanical Keyboards and trying to improve my typing
  • dabbling in retro-emulation
  • researching gadgets and small things/workflows to make my life easier These are just a few things that interest me and there are many more. I've heard people tell me that the things that interest me are not necessary for modern life and are just "nice to have". This doesn't discourage me because I do these things for me. I have this drive to try and optimise "the small things" like: Most people drink coffee every day of their adult life, why not make that as pleasant as it can be? Shaving, a chore for most guys, why not spice it up with an old school safety razor? You get the gist. Most of the time I am not simply "content" with the way things are "out of the box" and I want to make the most of it. Thus I am a person who knows a little about a lot of things and I even for the things I don't find interesting I can get why other people do. This brings me back to the title. I have all these topics and I want to do something with it. I would not classify myself as "creative" as I am not good with things like painting or photography. Picture me more like a walking Wikipedia article. I am looking for something where I can share what interests me at that particular point of time. Like a blog where I do "weekly updates of my life" or Journaling. Do you have any ideas of what I could do or how I could share what interests me?
