Worthy of its own post I feel Quickie signs a 2 year deal before free agency started. I think Quickie brings energy and the ability to get in front of the net. What do you think?

By the CBA, DeAngelo cannot return to Carolina within a year of his trade from the Canes, especially when salary is retained. The two teams are set to discuss with the league in Nashville, who could either sign off on the trade or force both teams to wait until July 9th.

It's unclear whether the trade will still go through if the Flyers and the Canes are forced to wait.

Sigh. Should be used to this every year, but it's getting old after a while.

I still think something is going to change with this. Canes have to find an AHL affiliate some how.

With Hellebuyck requesting a trade what do you think it would take to get him and at what price would it be a good deal?

Pacioretty has played only three games with the team. During those games, I thought he looked great, but that isn't really representative of what a whole season might look like. The possibility of further injury is also very real.

However, even while injured he constantly spoke highly of the team and living in Raleigh. He has been really involved with the Hurricanes and often has teammates over for events. I don't think a team friendly deal is out of the question - and if we can get that, I think resigning Pacioretty is a no brainer.

What are y'all's thoughts?
