I guess there’s a stadium being built for this that will seat up to 2000 fans and I just found out that it’s only about 10 miles from my house. I’ll have to get tickets and see what it’s all about when it starts up next January.

Does anyone here play a 7 wood? If so, what shots do you use it for? What kind do you have? How far do you hit it? Do you also play a 4 iron?

Tell me everything!

Hello. I do the golf and am about a 3/10 at it. I sold my old set when I moved but am looking to get a new set again but immediately hit a conundrum...

Do I get a cheap new set? Do I get a second-hand set? Do I take time to build a secondhand set?

The other problem is; I have no clue when it comes to what makes a good club. My previous driver was brutal, but highly rewarding when hit just right. Whereas I'd use friend's drivers and found them much more forgiving. I have no idea why that was except I noted my club head was smaller, maybe that?

I also don't really know what clubs I should have in the bag. I figure I'd go with what I've used most, or maybe just go Driver, 3, 5, 7, 9... and then we go with the speciality clubs. Never had a hybrid, never had a wedge apart from PW and SW. I used a friend's loft wedge no idea what it was, but I loved it.

Does anyone have good advice on all these queries? Or have a good source that isn't a crappy algorithm article?

By Eastern Asia I mean East, SouthEast, and South Asia.

I've read that the hong kong golf club course in fanling (hong kong) is nice to play at but not overly challenging.

I'm sure I'll want to upgrade some of my clubs as they aren't in the best shape, and I don't have a pitching wedge, but excited to see how things go. I bought a new bag (Calloway Fairway 14), and some soft balls already.

Any advice to make me not look completely clueless or gear tips would be appreciated!

I just got back from a trip to Kauai where I was fortunate enough to play 3 rounds.

I stayed in Koloa, so I played Kiahuna for the first time since it was so close. At $135 it was a so-so value, but the PoP was great and the greens were wild.

I played Princeville Makai the next day, which I'd played once on a previous trip. It's the most expensive course of the three I played on this trip, and kind of tough to get to unless you're already in the Hanalei area. Even so, this is my favorite course on the island and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Poipu Bay was the last course I played on this trip, the 16th hole is pictured. You tee off on top of the bluff (look for the palm trees furthest away), and the hole is a LONG par 4 at >500 yards, but plays downwind so it's still reachable in two for reasonably long hitters. Driving it long and straight is imperative at this course, the wind plays a major factor.

Cam Young and Jon Rahm round out the top 3 after posting -5 and -8 rounds, respectively.

Harman’s -6 is the low round of the day as he takes solo first at -10. He’s 5 strokes off the field with Tommy Fleetwood at -5 in solo second place.

Don’t care too much, but the defending champion should be featured. I think he’s got a right to be upset.

Darkhorse winner: Yannik Paul

First birdie ever after (embarrassingly enough) 6 months of playing. It was on the first hole too so it was all downhill from there but I’m still over the moon about it :)

New to golf and practicing at the range. I hit my first 15 balls exactly how I wanted to and then on the 16th I clipped the ball and hit the barrier separating the stalls.

I got nervous and it was all down hill from there.

I thought about changing stalls because I was face to face (lefty) to people. But there was a little girl practicing on the left edges and that even made me more nervous. Lol

Anyways, I’ll be back at it tomorrow.

Has anyone used these guys? I’ve seen them promoted on some YouTube channels. I’m a big fan of lessons but they are obviously expensive and the teaching pros at my club kinda are geared towards getting you to single digit HCP whereas I’m around a 17.

Thoughts?
