Murder By Death

This is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite #bands. I can't believe they're retiring from touring this year... I tried to see them every time they came in the area. I remember 100% not being into this type of music and them opening for the post-hardcore band Thursday. I remember small murmurs happening as they walked on stage with a #cello. I remember everyone's jaw being on the floor by the end of their set and their merch line being overwhelmed by a bunch of scene kids tasting something new. They are one of the many reasons I discovered other genres. Namely #postrock - for that alone I'll be eternally grateful.

As for this song... man, such a lovely track... dark and romantic - and a so catchy. I wish i had more to say, but it just leaves me with an odd feeling. Like not really nostalgic, but in a similar vein. Just feels warming. I hope this is played at my #funeral The video is rare in that it truly adds to the track. Adds to the dark tale of love. If you haven't already, please check this band out as they're on their farewell tour. They never fail to impress both in their discography and their performance. The have an entire album dedicated to the devil dying in a bar fight. Their discography does not miss... I cannot think of a single song by them that I don't enjoy. This has a lot to do with the band's passion for music... it's probably incredible hard to find now... But they did a split for Volta do Mar (not the mars volta lol) where it's just like 15 seconds of them shooting the shit about how people don't really care about music. That stuck with me... mostly due to how clear how much they put into their releases. I hope theirs music in the future, and even if there isn't -

Thank you Murder By Death! You left us so many good albums and songs to enjoy... and covers! Their Creep by TLC is something to behold.

I look forward seeing them this summer and being thrown back to that time being a awestruck high schooler

Interesting variant that's pretty different from the typical "Angeline The Baker". Source is Charlie Higgins

The 50s to 80s era of the USSR fascinates me quite a bit and I wish I could learn more about it.

Nothing biased, of course, but the science advancements, especially in the social sciences, have interested me, and their support for African liberation.

first new table freestyle in a minute and the boys don't miss! one of the things that i feel like people sleep on is their approach to drops. like they make you hungry for a new freestyle. like i get that they're obviously prewritten in most cases, but the small things they do to get your attention is appreciated. Like the coordinated moves they did in this one... dunno just takes shit to the next level.

Macklemore’s support of Palestine goes back to at least his time in college - this song is far from performative. Much love to him for releasing this and continuing to speak on Palestine.

Nice twin fiddle arrangement from the Shoats at a house concert. Not sure if an original tune or what. The whole playlist is a good listen.
