she is an american citizen who can vote. is she getting deported? are they going to strip her from citizenship? or how? wtf I dont understand

They’re going door to door and just arresting anyone who doesn’t have papers right away. Do you carry proof of your citizenship everywhere you go?

You shouldn't have to, I totally agree there. "Papers please" sounds very facist, in the real non-exaggerated sense.

Coincidentally, I do carry my US passport card with me everywhere. It's only good for overland travel to Mexico and Canada (you still need the full passport for international flights) but it's a "Real ID" and proves my citizenship.

You could be a citizen and know people or even have family who are not, thus making you affected regardless.
