Pretend like I'm a game dev who came here to ask the question, even though I have no intentions of developing a tycoon game at this time :P maybe I will in the future, but for now, I'm just curious about what people have to say! Reading these types of threads where people share their thoughts and have a civil discussion about video games is always fun for me.

This is a more "wish" across Tycoon games; better and more sophisticated visualization (charts) for both operational metrics and financial performance.

Something even as simple as being able to drill drown between months / quarters / years in a time series. Being able to select to the time series (some games only have current year, previous year and the one before). Year on year (YoY) growth percentage charts.

Clearer separation between opex and capex would also be convenient. You might spend a lot in a given year on new initiatives (leading to a massive loss), but get significantly higher profits in the subsequent years.

It doesn't have to be anything fancy or too complex, just a little bit more sophisticated than what most tycoon games have now.
