The trend is bad. I did some Google searching but can't find any quality public response from Tesla, which is concerning (if you're a TSLA holder). Still, I suspect Elon being this close to Trump will guarantee at least another round of pumping (subsidized cars, anyone?) before the end.

Tesla is doomed in the AU market because Chinese competitors offer unbelievably better value for money as imported cars. The price to quality ratio is just so outrageously in favour of BYD, Geely, etc. that there's just no way Tesla is sustainable down under.

One thing Tesla has always stood out to me for was the self driving though. Do the cheaper EVs have car follow/etc at least?

BYD have added autonomous driving to their entire lineup for free. 'Gods Eye' as they call it is SAE level 2 or 3 depending on the version which is on par with Tesla's full self driving.

Just looked Gods Eye up and gawd damn I didn't expect it to be that. I guess I'll look into a BYD for my next car!
