He’s highly attuned to the threat to Canada’s sovereignty and I’m sure he did not want to leave at this terrible time for Canada. He at least got to leave on a high note defending Canada and it’s hard to believe Freeland blew up the govt just so she could earn a demotion to Transport Minister.
And before you downvote me for appearing to support Trudeau, I never voted for him and he never should have passed on implementing electoral reform.
I don’t support Trudeau but I keep asking why people hate him so much without getting any good answers.
Everything people blame him for is basically what you would get from an average leader of the liberal party.
I think some people just think he looks a little too non masculine while obviously being attractive, some people really hate that.
I’m disappointed he didnt do election reform, but neither would carney. Also, he legalized it so he did do something
“I …just don’t like him.”
Is, after MANY years of asking/probing, the ONLY honest answer I’ve ever gotten. …ever.
Had it a few times too. After reducing arguments down patiently.
Ultimately, these people who hate him vote like a high-school popularity contest, in stead of thinking with their lonely 2 remaining brain-cells.
Either that or they are simply insulted that someone could know more about something than their snapshot opinion. They take offense to realizing they are just ignorant. So they lash out.
That’s my assessment after looong, mostly civil conversations.
Housing... He fucked up housing (with help from outside forces of course). It's arguably why PP grew to fame at all. That dude latched onto the millennial and gen z anger over housing.
The nutters will blame his whole vaccine and lockdown handling of course. But they're just a lost cause to bot rot.
But he also came out saying that buying up housing and renting it back to Canadians is providing a service. That should have been enough to negate the housing hot air he was spouting.
