No injuries were reported, and passengers departing Orlando International Airport were accommodated on another aircraft heading to their destination of Albany, New York, the airline said in a statement. The aircraft was switched to help facilitate an investigation.

Southwest Flight 3278 had been cleared for takeoff and initiated a takeoff roll on a taxiway after the crew mistook the surface for the nearby runway, officials said. But air traffic controllers canceled the clearance before the plane could take off.

CAN WE JUST START REPORTING THE FUCKING NEWS?

THIS OOOPSIES NO ONE WAS HURT, SOMEONE ALMOST BARELY DIDNT DO SOMETHING SHIT MEANS NOTHING.

WE ARE SLIDING INTO FASCISM QUICKER THAN SHIT. REPORT IT, SELL THESE MOFHERFUCKERS OUT AND DO THE BARE FUCKING BOTTOM OF THE BARREL REPORTING AT A MINIMUM.

OP, if you're not a bot, you should fucking be ashamed.

Wasn't this related to the fascism in that there's an uptick in plane accidents and near misses since they started fucking with the air traffic controllers?

No, this was purely the pilot's fault, and they're employed by Southwest. The government cuts have affected ATC, but they aren't responsible for the pilots knowing the difference between a runway and a taxiway.

Yes, there have been 20 deadly plane crashes in 2025, since the presidents started firing air traffic controllers because they were “too woke” or some such nonsense. Prior to this year, the most recent deadly crash involving a US airliner was in 2009.

Yeah... One of those funny things where they 'discover' a load of DEI hires, who happen to be people of colour, women or minorities of some kind. Then when they fired them, so the workforce is all white male, everyone is Safe again... And all the planes start falling out of the sky, but that's just a coincidence and because of the woke or something.

I haven't seen any data about an actual increase in incidents. My suspicion is that it's just the news reporting every single incident instead of just the major ones, because it gets clicks.

It's about the same number of incidents (plane crashes, death agnostic), it's just that a week into the new admin, one of them had the most deaths since the autopilot that aims for the ground crashed those planes in 2019.

But since the other side is willing to just outright lie, it's not exactly a high crime not to highlight that technically it's the same number of crashes.
