Chronicle the life and tale of the fediverse (+ matrix)

Largely a sublemmy about capturing drama, from fediverse spanning drama to just lemmy drama.

Includes lore like how a instance got it's name, how an instance got defederated, how an admin got doxxed, fedihistory etc

(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

sEriOus ConSerVative ComMuniTy

Literally an oxymoron and trust me, I know because I have seen more of it than any of you combined.
It’s mostly all based on: we must make leftist cry. Such seriousness, the very core of it is fundamentally a joke.

No wonder right leaning instance is just shitposts and memes galore. This is basically what modern conservatism is.

No wonder right leaning instance is just shitposts and memes galore.

A conservative visiting lemmy would say the exact same thing. The difference in my mind is that right-wing memes mostly leave me thinking, "No one says or believes that. Fuck you on about?"

Same thoughts I have talking to conservatives IRL. Having only been presented with the most outlandish fruitcakes, they've brainwashed into thinking there are legions of fucking nutcase left-wingers out there.

For left-wingers making fun, yeah, the memes more often reflect what the right actually says and believes.

(Yes, I'm biased, but I try really hard to be objective.)

As a budding radical centrist I hate every cuck winger with equal passion. The left however has some merit to protect the minorities and at least in theory aims to reduce inequalities. The far left are bunch of unfunny idiots however

Internet exclusive breed of far left ohhh these are people that should be branded with red hot iron

radical centrist

So... Half-racist? I'm not sure compromising with bigots is something to crow about.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (2 children)

No. It’s more like hating and bashing everyone equally.
It is a radical oppression of radicalism and rejection of demented idealism that I deliver in short precision strikes to the unsuspecting.

Is it always this well received?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

I don’t know, but it is always very entertaining. It provides sufficient level to stave off boredom in apotheka queues or waiting for mini paint to dry out

Internet is PvP CoD mobile without shitty controls. Centrism is like the most funny cheesy class in this digital sandbox of pointless eternal arguments

As for my real views I guess that would be what makes me the most money and convenience at the moment if I am brutally honest. Some kind of trans matriarchy capital paradise party. Let’s call it technofeminocapitalism? but generally I vote mainstream left out of pragmatic necessity. They don’t care about economic leftism after all so it aligns with my interests and goals considering I am in the upper class after all.

If I were in the lower class I am not sure if I would vote at all. There seems to be no party that cares about the wage workers

Everyone is biased, in some way. There is no such thing as being unbiased.

The sad fact is America needs an actual conservative movement that isn’t just nazis in hiding. Im not sure it can exist anymore as conservatives havent had a “normal” party in 30+ years

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Does it though? I mean that would be better than fascism, no doubt, but what are we trying to conserve, really?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Ideally fiscal responsibility and a resistance to government intrusion in the private sphere.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 months ago (1 children)

By private sphere do you mean people’s private lives and activities or corporate political organizations? If the former, then I agree, if the latter then those are in dire need of disruption.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

The former, the GOP used to be conservative liberals.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

Conservatives haven’t had fiscal responsibility in probably near 50 years. People should absolutely stop equating conservatives to fiscal responsibility. It’s a lie conservatives keep telling each other.

The economy has always been better under democrats.
