My only complaint is that if he makes amazing coffee then it shouldn't need that much sugar.
What if I were to tell you that some people like sweet things and coffee beans aren't sweet no matter how good they are?
Fresh, lightly roasted coffee beans have a natural sweetness to them. I'm not a fan of sweet things and was surprised when I had it myself. That said, I'm sure even then that you'd be right, there are people who'd prefer it sweeter than normal.
Looking closer at the image, the entire cup is sugar cubes. That really is quite a lot of sugar.
I understand people have preferences and that is totally ok, but high quality, properly made coffee simply doesn't need that amount of sugar in it.
Some people just like a little coffee in their sugar.
Sure but then why bother wasting a valued superhero position on him if it's just all sugar anyway? There's only one spot available apparently, just use a drip machine.
Separately, I'm also convinced that many (not all) of those people are drinking bad coffee. As a small anecdotal example (i know this isn't proof), i know people who are like this, and when i make them a good cup, they need much less or sometimes no sugar.
Properly made coffee, at worst, needs much less sugar than what people are usually drinking

2: That's clearly a Flash-type speedster. One of their tropes is an excessive metabolism so it's not only a preference but a necessity for him to carb load.
In truth, this is actually just a nerdy comic book detail you're being weird about. Caffeinator is actually doing his job so well you didn't even notice.
I'm not sure how to respond as i feel my point was completely taken out of context. I'm not criticizing the person, I'm criticizing the product.
I'm in no way shape or form suggesting that people can or can not enjoy things how they enjoy them. I am asserting that, on average, people who overuse sugar in coffee are consuming excessively bitter coffee that needs the sugar to balance it out.
Over roasting coffee is an actual tactic by businesses that allows them to find the cheapest bean sourcing available but maintain a consistent flavor. Actual good coffee can be costly, and every detail (soil ph, rainfall, temperature, altitude, etc) can change the flavor. Consumers offset the resulting bitterness from over roasting with excess sugar. The combination of over roasting and using sugar to cover it up also makes it hard to notice when the coffee is stale.
Examples of these kind of over roasted options would be any coffee in any diner, any chain coffee shop that has a dedicated national roaster, and most coffee available at a grocery store.
My follow on point is that if this dude is actually a coffee superhero, his coffee wouldn't have this issue. If his coffee still has this issue, why did they waste a precious slot on him when they could just grab starbucks?
My initial comment was an attempt to be a bit silly, but thank you for the personal attack.
Maybe the coffee he makes is good based on the tastes of whoever's getting it and they really like a pile of sugar cubes in their cup?

Maybe! But the cinnamon by itself is kinda bitter.
I'm also just staring at the 6 sugar cubes (that are visible) and wondering how good could that coffee actually be if it's only good with that much sugar.
High quality and properly made coffee doesn't typically need a lot of sugar. I understand some people always want a little sweetener, but if the coffee was actually good it wouldn't be quite that much
Maybe it's intended to be Cuban-style coffee, ร la Miami? Which I found to be very sweet.
