For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

Anyway why was Felon using ketamine? Its an antidepressant and causes suicidal thoughts. Its great stuff! We’ll have to stay plugged to see what develops from this.

Some people have ASD and ADHD, some people have ASD and OCR, some people have ASD and BAD, and many other combinations.

So - with ASD and BAD antidepressants are a no. With ASD and ADHD - I dunno, maybe. Except it may sometimes be easy to mix up ASD+BAD and ASD+ADHD. With ASD and other stuff - yes, they sometimes prescribe ketamine.

We know Elon has ASD.

BTW, to say something in Elon's defense, about claims of "people knowing him in the 90s saying he was writing bullshit code when he supposedly could program", or any other claims, with ASD all this should be taken very critically, because people with ASD usually have an exclusive choice between being competent and appearing competent in any particular situation.

Since "appearing competent" relies on another person's idea what a competent person will consider a most obvious choice, or what will be their first thought, or how quick will be their response, or which weights they'll assign to possible solutions, or how confident they will be, and all these are very different with ASD. When you have ASD, colleagues either consider you a genius or an idiot, and usually both are based on logically wrong conclusions. With ADHD or BAD this is even worse.

So - yeah, let's not press Elon too much.

Though I should say doing a Nazi salute on live TV wasn't the best of his ideas.

It seems like he literally enabled a fascist government and hurt tons of citizens with irresponsible firings. He can and still perhaps should be hated for that.

There are more people in the world enabling fascist governments than those who are not.

Those systems he hurt are supposed to be able to survive this. If it's not an improvement, then it's a test.

Thats like saying we should let attempted murderers go free because it was just a test.

The difference is that government agencies require regular shakeups. It's normal. It's not normal for them to just keep existing without those.
