I agree, they never should have let a sunsetting cancer patient delude himself into thinking he should go for a second term, and in fact both his and Feinstein's handlers belong in prison for elder abuse.

Biden did as well as could be expected from a liberal but I didn't expect much. He got handed all the tools he needed by the Supreme Court and high roaded this nation into fascism for nothing.

The description of Jean-Pierre’s book jabs at the party’s decisions during the summer of 2024, including “the betrayal by the Democratic Party that led to” Biden’s decision to drop out of the presidential race.

He probably could have won the second term though.

He was at a campaign fundraiser, and failed to recognise a close friend of 15 years. Didn’t remember his name or that they were acquainted. That friend was George Clooney. That man had no business being in public office. Hell, he shouldn’t have been outside his home without adult supervision.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I think George Clooney would do well in public office but I don’t think he’s interested.

Eh. Fuck it. Let’s just elect Bill Burr. Ukraine’s comedian-turned-president is having a frankly outstanding performance, despite being thrust into quite harrowing circumstances. Also - and I do genuinely mean this - considering where we are now, what’s the worst that could happen?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

How about president TayTay?

She could do a campaign tour to all the major cities!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

I mean… again, we’re currently in the midst of a far, far worse idea, so sure.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Only people who don’t want the job should be in public office.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 month ago (3 children)

While we're doing who shouldn't be president, Trump once mistook a picture of one of his rape victims as one of his ex wives (after, of course, insisting the rape victim "wasn't his type")

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

Conveniently, one of his ex wives is also one of his rape victims. As was recorded in court documents.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Yup. In general, Americans seem to be the last people who should be choosing their presidents. Woofers every time.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Funny you should mention it, because we're not the ones choosing them.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

The founding fathers warned about this….

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Nice whatabout

[–] [email protected] 27 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Bro he was less popular than the lady that lost and cancer is eating his balls, let it go. If he'd won the debate, maybe, but instead he looked like a dying grandpa (because he literally is) that cared more about golf scores than America or not enabling genocide.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It’s funny how Trump says a conspiracy theory and a week later people who call themselves the left are repeating it as gospel.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 month ago (2 children)

So you think his incoherent rambling was just senility then? There isn't a win here to be found my guy. He was sick or senile, either way he was unpopular, unethical, and no longer fit.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Read a transcript of the debate and its clear he isnt “senile”. Hes old as fuck and took a while to make his point. Like any 75+ year old person naturally does. Virtually every point he made was perfectly cogent, especially by comparison to the rambling delusions of Mango Unchained

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

He also has a speech impediment that allowed him down. Supposedly he had a cold too, but that one felt dubious

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Remember when he invited Zelensky to the White House and introduced him at the press conference as “Vladimir Putin”? What a fucking liability.

Or when he closed his last State of the Union with an explicit threat to attack Russia, a fellow nuclear armed state, just off the cuff. At least when Trump does it no-one gives it serious credibility.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Wait, Trump is way more incoherent and jumbles things up than Biden ever did, he just does so at high speed because he is amped up on Sudafed

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Why are you repeating Trump’s talking points though?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Why are you inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide DONT YOU KNOW TRUMP DOES THAT???

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Somewhat inconclusive proof that TDS is real.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I’m waiting for the first one to say that Biden’s a robot clone now.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The thing with trump is he never stops talking. In that waterfall of shit there's bound to be an actual truth or two, and he was right about bidens senility. Making a factual statement isn't "repeating trump talking points", because it's not a talking point it's a fact.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Do you believe they covered up Biden’s cancer too?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

I have no idea. I know Biden was senile because I watched the debate. I did not watch his doctor stick a finger up his ass.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Biden was senilee during the 2020 primaries as well.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago
[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Possible, but he did a pretty good job in those debates whereas in 2024 he was sunsetting right in front of us on live tv

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Trump can't pronounce unethical without bursting into flames.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 month ago

There was no way. Not a chance. Have you forgotten how deeply unpopular he was during the campaign, especially after his debate?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Biden’s white and male so he would have gotten enough votes to get him over the line.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Incorrect, you assume he would have the same votes as Harris AND the misogynist and racist democrats, i doubt you could count on that even if it were true. But we don’t have to wonder because it was far far worse off for him, besides you are forgetting the ageist democrats too!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

More people voted for Biden than any other candidate in US history so he was able to lose a couple.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Oh and i can see that the polls also showed him as a complete failure at that time as well? Let’s see… https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nationwide_opinion_polling_for_the_2020_United_States_presidential_election

Hahahaha no, like holy shit no. Seems like the polls were right. And so your conclusion is incorrect by all accounts.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's my opinion which is apparently different than yours but not any less relevant.

Unless of course you have some smoking gun sort of proof of your assertions.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (11 children)

Man if only we had a way to read the temperature of the voting base to see if everyone who voted for Joe Biden still intended to do so. Some way to compare it to the temperature of the room back when he won to help make strategic decisions.

Oh wait! We do! And it’s a poll

You see the error in your thinking is that your opinion holds more weight than mine, based off what i can only assume is copeium. I based mine off his performance and polling data, our opinions do not carry the same weight.

Horseshit. He was done after the debate. Whatever they put up Trump's nose to make him seem somewhat coherent for an hour was enough.
