A chat bot can present ads better than search result (if by better you mean in a way that is harder to see). If you ask for a recipe it can sprinkle in name brand ingredients. You ask for directions it can use chain restaurant landmarks. You ask for a summary of a sporting event it also mentions the stadium/halftime/beverage sponsor.

Agree 100%. ChatGPT does currently claim it doesn’t do that. Surely that is the truth, and will remain so forever more. Surely.
