As a huge fan of Kerbal Space Program I would've loved seamless manual landing. But oh boy do people fail to grasp how huge actual planets are. Kerbin itself is only 1/10 the size of earth, and Starfield is intended to play in the "real" solar system and stuff. It would just take so damn long to get down to the surface, and by golly, walking and exploring a map of that size? That's absurd.
Also I find it funny that they complain about reaching an invisible wall after traversing a map the size of Skyrim.
Yea, Skyrim is the size of a small town. But we've played bigger since it released, and I understand hitting an invisible barrier in a game that insists on large scale exploration would be particularly frustrating.
