After the entire IP logging incident, i stopped using their stuff. Their services really aren't the best, and they don't really seem to care about Tor users too (their onion service just redirects them back to the clearnet one).
Their "email encryption" promise only works if you're sending an email to another protonmail user.
As far as the VPN goes, i never really used it, but i wouldn't trust a company that promises no logs, then does the opposite, and then removes the policy from their page
Just wanted to mention that this is more of a limitation of email, than ProtonMail. Copies of the messages will exist on the other side. So if the recipient’s server doesn’t encrypt, then the conversation can’t be fully encrypted.
Yeah, email is inherently insecure.
Hence why you should use PGP yourself, and never give your private keys to the email provider
