Releasing in October in Japan.

Update from Nintendolife: Nintendo has also confirmed this product will be arriving in North America and Europe on 17th October 2024.

As someone looking for something like this a few months ago and a friend after buying a switch last year also ordering the same thing as me, yes, most definitely there are lots of people who would want this.

They made one originally, it baffles me that it wasn't the only version of the original grip.
