Only is you are closed to allowing anyone to challenge what you say, if you are closed off to a different perspctives, if you refuse all information that articulates everything you believe is a lie.

It's only because you can't handle losing that you won't be friends with people who disagree with what you think.

I deal with right wing wackos all the time, my family is full of them. I welcome having my perspectives challenged, it is an opportunity to perfect my arguments. Most of what they say is scientifically disproven quite easily, but since the right generally doesn't believe in science, it doesn't matter to them. Reality still wins in the end no matter how much they (and right wing media) deny it. See global warming as an example.
