Is there a reason why 100% of news links here are for leftist and far leftist websites?

Can you give examples?

The front page I see has:

  1. CTV News
  2. This post
  3. a pipe (YouTube mirror) video
  4. The Guardian
  5. Vancouver Sun
  6. cupe.ca – I would be surprised if this wasn't pro union
  7. university magazine – never read this, but it seems like a university article on university politics
  8. Youtube video
  9. CBC
  10. CBC

Lemmy definitely has a leftward bent, I don't find that very surprising. Some communities are very open about their leftward slant (like beehaw), some are very militantly anti-capitalist, some are communist.

Personally I'm centrist but I try and hear people out and read things both critically and openly.

I'm ok with a publicly stated policy that says "Liberal and leftist sources only". I have a major problem with an attitude that says "If you don't like the truth on the left, you have a right to be stupid and ignorant"

I agree with you on that. You can hear an idea and disagree with it, but to insist there's only one perspective is super harmful.

I'm not going to go out and read the National Post but I'll try and listen to new Ideas and perspectives.

I find the National Post too liberal, or the National Post is to the left of everything I push for.
