Yeah, those are very convenient and much easier than having to deal with Kubernetes or such.

Hmm, that looks quite nice. Thanks for sharing!

Ejabberd has more enterprise features and scales better for large public servers, Prosody has more interesting community modules and generally is ideal for smaller private servers (but has a very nice invite system).

Anyone has some longer term experience with it? It seems like this was first made available 3 years ago or so?

There is a project trying to revive FirefoxOS: https://capyloon.org/ which is what inspired ChromeOS, but maybe I am taking the headline too literal 😅

We tried collecting some non-english speaking solar punk communities on Lemmy in a previous monthly post: https://slrpnk.net/post/13849412

I know of some in Portuguese and German, and I think there is also some things in Polish, but I have no idea about such Russian or Ukrainian speaking communities, sorry.

Ah, now I see. It didn't occur to me at all that shops would be afraid that people steal men's underware or that having a cashier handle it (when properly packaged) would be an (emotional?) issue for the buyer. I guess those issues are somehow related?

Afaik this dual booting abuses the alternative system image that ensures that you can't brick you phone during updates, and upgrading Android after setting this up will be a major PITA.

Eww, you don't wash new underware after buying it?

Please share your experience. It still seems a bit too experimental right now for me to spend time on, but I hope that will change next year.

We are having stability issues with the server right now due to what looks like a new memory leak in Lemmy.

I am traveling this weekend, but I hope to find time to properly investigate it later this week.

Significant improvements to certificate pinning and validation have been added to all major XMPP clients as a result of this incident, but it should also be clear that hosting a server on infrastructure under control by an antagonist government (see also Signal) is a very bad idea and hard to mitigate against.

Still only on dev channel, but hardware support looks great.
